Finding Parts for Your Karcher Pressure Washer
Karcher is the #1 selling brand of pressure washers in North America, and for good reason. They are considered an industry leader in both residential and commercial pressure washers and has been in business for over 70 years. In fact, the company is so trusted that they've started a corporate cleaning program, and have been given access to several landmarks and monuments to clean. For instance, they have just cleaned the Seattle Space Needle as well as Mount Rushmore. It is this trust that has made Karcher a household name in pressure washer. However, no matter how trusted and reliable a brand is, it's inevitable that parts will fail. What will you do when that happens? Well luckily, Karcher does have one fantastic warranty, so hopefully your machine is still within warranty. But if it's not, then it's time to make some repairs. You could send it off for repairs, but this will cost several hundred dollars and take weeks. Most people can fix simple jobs by themselves - the Karcher knowledge base is pretty in depth, and contains easy fixes for most problems. However, these fixes do require one thing: parts. Karcher is very specific with their parts. You can buy any external part directly from their website, BuyKarcher.com. External parts include, but are not limited to, things like trigger guns, o-rings, hoses, wheels, handles, and gaskets. These parts will be a direct fit for your model and be Karcher quality. However, you'll obviously be spending Karcher-quality prices. Alternatively, you can look to the internet for 3rd party retailers. These internet stores will sell OEM replacement parts, which aren't quite up to Karcher quality but cost much less. Not all internet stores are created equally, so try to find the most reputable store before buying your parts. You can check sites like the BBB for consumer complaints. If you are still under warranty, it is advised that you do not try to service any internal parts. You may void your warranty by attempting to service any internal parts yourself, so if you're still under warranty please take your machine to a authorized Karcher repair center. Now, if you're out of warranty then you pretty much have nothing to lose by doing it yourself, except maybe your dignity. All you need is the right parts - Karcher won't sell them to you directly, but here is where our good friend the internet comes back into play. You'll be able to find whatever internal parts you need from the internet. To find the part that you need, most internet stores will link you to a reference manual, where you will identify the part you need by model #. They will then supply you with the part that you need. The prices vary, and depends on whether you will be buying authentic product or 3rd party product. Karcher makes some great quality pressure washers, but all things need replacing sometime. Finding the right parts is just a matter of knowing where to look. |
